Take part in HER Outdoors Week 2022 in this mother and daughter guided cycle on Sliabh Beagh. HER Outdoors Week aims to promote and encourage female participation in outdoor activities.

Explore the beautiful countryside of Sliabh Beagh in this guided cycle. We’re encouraging mothers and daughters of all ages (8+ years) to get involved. The route is on the quiet country roads and lanes of Sliabh Beagh.

This mother and daughter guided cycle has been organised in conjunction with Monaghan Sports Partnership so it’s free to all those that get involved. Places are limited so booking is essential. Childen must be eight years or older to take part in this particular event.

What’s the Terrain Like?

The terrain is quiet country roads and lanes.

What to Wear?

Your clothing just needs to be weather appropriate. We recommend bringing a waterproof jacket just in case. It’s better to be prepared for all weather eventualities.

What to Bring?

We’ll provide you with a bicycle, helmet and Hi-Vis waist coat. You should bring a rucksack with sufficient supplies for the duration of the cycle – water, snacks, sandwiches, etc. There will be a scheduled picnic stop during the cycle. You may also wish to bring an additional layer of clothing in case the weather changes.

Meeting Point

The guided cycle will start from our premises in Knockatallon Village (adjacent to the Sliabh Beagh Hotel). Registration is available from 10:30am. The guided cycle will start at 11:00am sharp and will last approximately two hours.

This mother and daughter guided cycle is free to attend but booking is essential.
