This guided hike is suitable for anyone who loves the outdoors! A good level of fitness, however, is required on this hike due to the variation and unevenness of the terrain. It takes place on March 11, 2023

What’s the Terrain Like?

The terrain is a mixture of gravel paths, forestry tracks and moorland (all of which can be quite uneven under foot).

What to Wear?

Waterproof hiking boots are essential! We also recommend bringing a waterproof jacket and trousers, and a hat and gloves. It’s better to be prepared for all weather eventualities.

What to Bring?

You should bring a rucksack with sufficient supplies for the duration of the hike – water, snacks, sandwiches, hot drinks, etc. There will be a scheduled picnic stop during the hike. You should also pack additional clothing layers, just in case!

Meeting Point

Registration takes place at our premises in Knockatallon Village (adjacent to the Sliabh Beagh Hotel) between 8:30-8:45am. We will then drive 15 minutes to the trailhead (leaving our centre at 8:45am sharp). We can arrange to carpool that morning.

Start Time

The hike will commence at 9am from the trailhead.
