Looking for something to do between Christmas and the New Year? We’re hosting a guided winter walk on December 27. The walk will be suitable for most ages so is a great way to spend time with family and friends (and burn some of those Christmas calories!).

  • Length: 14k
  • Time: 4-4.5 hours

What’s the Terrain Like?

The terrain is a mixture of gravel paths, open blanket bog (which can be quite uneven under foot) and forestry tracks.

What to Wear?

Waterproof hiking boots are essential! We also recommend bringing a waterproof jacket and trousers, and a hat and gloves. It’s better to be prepared for all weather eventualities.

What to Bring?

You should bring a rucksack with sufficient supplies for the duration of the hike – water, snacks, sandwiches, hot drinks, etc. There will be a scheduled picnic stop during the hike. You should also pack additional clothing layers, just in case!
