Want to take part in an enjoyable activity for all of the family? This guided family hike is suitable for those aged eight years or older. We’ll walk the lesser known gravel paths and forestry tracks of Sliabh Beagh. This hike takes place on July 23.
The terrain is a mixture of gravel paths and forestry tracks.
Waterproof hiking boots are essential! We also recommend bringing a waterproof jacket and trousers, and a hat and gloves. It’s better to be prepared for all weather eventualities.
You should bring a rucksack with sufficient supplies for the duration of the hike – water, snacks, sandwiches, hot drinks, etc. There will be a scheduled picnic stop during the hike. You should also pack additional clothing layers, just in case!
Registration takes place from 9am at our premises in Knockatallon Village (adjacent to the Sliabh Beagh Hotel). Our Eircode is H18 K407. We’ll then drive a short distance to our starting point. Where possible, car pooling is encouraged. The hike will begin at 10am sharp.
